Funding

​

All 3 – 4 year olds in England receive 570 hours of funded childcare per year. This equates to 15 hours per week in term time (38 weeks per year) or 11.5hrs per week all year round (50 weeks per year).

If you joined a childcare voucher scheme on or before 4 October 2018 and receive childcare vouchers, Tots is happy to accept these through your provider e.g. Sodexo, Edenred, Computershare etc.

 

Alternatively, you may qualify for Tax Free Childcare which means you can get up to £500 every 3 months for each of your children to help with the costs of childcare. Full details are available here: https://www.gov.uk/tax-free-childcare

Children of working parents meeting certain criteria are eligible for an additional 570 hours of funded childcare per year. Therefore these children can get up to 30 hours of funded childcare per week in term time (38 weeks per year). At Tots and Time Out and Bright Beginnings children who claim the full 30 hours per week can use this at 22.5hrs per week for 50 weeks of the year with a daily top up fee.

Please note spaces are limited for the 30 hours funding.

The funded hours can only be claimed from the term after the child’s 3rd birthday.

Early Years Funding for 2-3 year olds, 15 hours

Some 2 year old children are eligible for 570 hours of funded childcare per year. This equates to 15 hours per week in term time.
