As early childhood professionals we encourage an environment in which young children can grow and develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually but most of all have fun whilst learning.
All staff within the Nursery are carefully selected for their ability to care for young children and their friendly approach. Each team member holds a valid enhanced DBS check and are continually vetted to meet Safeguarding requirements.
We believe in the importance of working together with parents/carers to provide the very best for every individual child in our setting. As a team we believe working with parents creates the best environment for children and we recognise parents as the child’s first educator therefore we really value the thoughts, information and support that they provide.
We pride ourselves in a highly qualified staff team which is fully supported by the Becky the nursery owner who is heavily invested in the staff's professional development leading to a quality workforce providing enhanced care for your child.
The sessions at Tots are filled with so much fun, and our energetic friendly team who care deeply about children are there to support your Childs every needs.
HAYLEY
Deputy Manager and Baby Unit Supervisor
Qualifications:
Child Care NVQ Level 3, First Aid, Safeguarding and Child Protection Training, Designated Safeguarding Lead Training, Business and Admin Level 2
My role as Deputy Manager is to work alongside the manager and support her in the day to day running of the Nursery.
My role as Baby Unit Supervisor is to ensure the smooth and happy running of the Baby Unit, making sure all routines are met in the care of the babies. Also ensuring all children are learning and cared for in a thriving and enjoyable environment.
A little bit about me...
I enjoy reading, keeping fit and spending special time with my family. I have worked at Tots for 20 years. I started as a receptionist and out how much I enjoyed being with the children so I decided to work towards a qualification in childcare. Through the years I have watched the children grow and this gives me so much satisfaction to know I have helped nurture them and prepare for the next stage in their educational life.

I love working with the Toddlers because I enjoy watching them progress from a Baby to a Toddler and preparing them to get ready for the Pre-School Unit.
A little bit about me...
I have worked at Tots since March 2011. I love the close family unit we have here and how we all work together as a team, encouraging each other daily and supporting each other when we need it.
In my spare time I enjoy being with my family and friends.

Toddler Unit Supervisor
Qualifications:
Level 3 NVQ in children's care, learning and development, safeguarding and child protection training, working towards a BA hons in Childhood Studies and Child Psychology
Working with Toddler aged children is my happy place. I love watching and helping the children begin to learn independence and a sense on self. I love their curiosity, wonder at the world and expanding this.
A little bit about me...
II'm Lauren and I've worked in the Early Years field for 15 years. I was previously deputy manager and Toddler Unit Supervisor at Bright Beginnings before living and working in Canada for 2 years. I came back to the UK to be closer to family and I'm now enrolled in Open University to study Childhood Studies and Child Psychology.
After working with a variety of different ages, I found where my heart is happiest; the Toddler Unit. I enjoy helping children find and celebrate their unique individuality, expanding their imagination and above all, I love laughing with the children.
When I'm not at work, I'm usually found with a book in one hand and a cuppa tea in the other, or out hiking and walking.

Pre-School Unit Supervisor

I am the Pre-School Unit supervisor and the ‘School Leavers’ Nursery Teacher. My role is to help the children prepare for ‘Big’ School through a range of activities led by the children. The thing I love most about my job is being able to play a part in getting them ready for ‘Big’ School and building strong relationships with the children.

I have worked at Tots for nearly 7 years and I love it! I started off as a student and learnt all my skills from working at Tots and learning from the best. I love Disney and spending time with my family.

I have worked at Tots since 2016 which I really enjoy doing. I am a very family orientated person and love making memories with them and friends. I am an easy going person and feel I create good strong relationships with all the children at Tots

I am a Nursery Teacher in the Pre-School Unit. I love the imagination and natural creativity this age group have. I enjoy the conversations we have as we play and creating exciting activities based on their interests.

I am a Mummy to my young son. I enjoy journaling, reading and playing games in my spare time.
I’m interested in all thing creative and bring this into work aswell.

My Nursery Teacher role is in the Baby Unit. My passion for child care started from being part of a large family. I always knew growing up I’d work with children. I love seeing the children grow and develop and helping to give them a safe and fun environment to do this in.

When I’m not busy looking after my own young son my hobbies include socialising with my friends and family, going to the cinema and I enjoy going to music concerts.

I have 3 boys of my own and 2 grandsons. I enjoy walking my dogs and spending time at home baking and decorating.

I am a Nursery Teacher in the Toddler Unit. I have worked in child care for 9 years and still absolutely love my job. I love teaching the children and providing them with new and fun experiences. I enjoy watching children explore their environments and come up with their own ideas. I love seeing their faces when they achieve their goals and I am so happy to be working at Tots.
A little bit about me...
I’m a bubbly, loud girl who loves coming up with new ideas for the Toddler Unit. I enjoy drawing and anything creative and bring that into nursery to share with the children.
I have been at Tots since June 2020 after moving over from Bright Beginnings and absolutely love it here. All the staff have welcomed me with open arms and I’m very grateful and happy here.

I am a Junior Nursery Practitioner who is just starting within childcare. I have grown up with Tots as my Mum is Becky Cogan so I came here from a baby and it has always felt like my second home. I love watching the children grow and develop everyday and helping to make sure that their time at nursery is fun and safe.

I love spending time with my family, especially taking our dog for walks and going out for meals. I also enjoy socialising with my friends and listening to music.

I have recently started working at Tots in the Baby Unit on a part time basis. I am a 1:1 Support worker for children that attend Tots who need additional support, I am there to support the child, their keyworker and the other children in the group. I love my role and building relationships with all the children. I love watching the children develop and gain confidence and independence with my support.

I am a Mummy to a little boy who is 4 years old, we love to go on dog walks together, spend time with our family and going to the beach. In my spare time my favourite thing to do is spend time with my family and close friends.
