Tapestry

Here at Tots and Time Out we use Tapestry to keep online learning journals for all our children.

 

A record of your child’s learning and development will be available for you to log in to from your computer, tablet or smartphone so you can keep up to date with how they are getting on at nursery. You will be able to see photographs, videos and examples of their work as well as checking which developmental milestones they have reached. You will also be able to upload photographs, videos and comments from their time with you so we are able to work together as a team to further their development.

 All our parents who have accessed the programme so far are really pleased with it and are especially happy that they are able to look at photos and videos of their child’s day at nursery. The programme will really help us to work on children’s learning and development and help us work in partnership with parents to achieve the best possible learning outcomes for your child.

 

Tapestry builds a very special record of a child’s experiences, development and learning journey through their early years and primary education. Using photos, videos and diary entries, a teacher or early years practitioner, along with the child’s parents, ‘weaves’ the story of the child and how they are growing and developing.

 

The Tapestry platform then works seamlessly to enable these memories to be kept as a permanent record of each child’s unique journey. All information held in the platform is stored securely, and can be downloaded and shared as required. Parents are able to view online their child’s progress and how much fun they’re having,  whilst also uploading their own comments and media.
